Alkali granite is a type of granite that contains alkali feldspar and alkaline iron-magnesium minerals. It is mainly composed of quartz, alkali feldspar and alkaline dark minerals. The dark alkaline minerals include alkaline hornblende (such as riebeckite) and alkaline pyroxene (such as acmite augite and aegirine). These dark alkaline minerals give the granites different names, such as acmite augite granite, Suzhou granite, Fuzhou Kuiqi granite and Zhejiang Taohuadao granite.
