This region is located in southwestern New South Wales, Australia, and has an area of 2,400 km2. Pleistocene fossils can be found in the lakes and sand dunes. In addition, human sites from 45,000 to 60,000 years ago have been found, which have become unique sites for the study of human evolution on the Australian continent.
