Wansheng National Geopark is located in Wansheng District, Municipality of Chongqing. It became a national geopark in 2009. It contains a stone forest composed of Middle Ordovician jointed limestone, gorges and water landscapes. Karst landforms are the main geological features of the geopark. It contains stone forests, clints, dissolution basins, dolines, sinkholes, karst valleys, underground rivers, and karst caves. The canyon landforms are mainly located in the Black Valley Scenic Area. The water landscapes consist of rivers, such as the Liyuhe River and Liujiahe River, well-developed springs and waterfalls. Sinoceras are the main fossils. The tectonic features include the regional geological structure, local joint structures, or combinations of the two.
