This climate is also known as the savannah climate. It is generally located between 10° N and S latitude and the Tropic of Cancer. It covers areas in south-central Africa, southeastern Brazil, northern Venezuela, the inland region of the Indian subcontinent, the interior of the Indochina Peninsula and northern and eastern Australian. The annual temperature is high (average of 25°C), and the annual precipitation is between 750 and 1,000 mm. The climate is controlled by the equatorial low-pressure belt and the trade winds. The wet and dry seasonal variation is obvious, creating a natural savanna vegetation landscape.
