This park is located in the Wanbolin District, Taiyuan City, and covers an area of 3.10 km2. It was designated as one of the second group of national mining parks by the Ministry of Land and Resources in May 2010. The main part of the park includes modern mine sites, the Nanshan Changwang Forest, a Japanese gun turret, stone kilns and other mining features. The park will be turned into a national-level forest park by restoring abandoned coal mines, waste disposal sites and the surrounding ecological environment. The park will be developed into a coal industrial development tourist base that integrates underground visits with modern mining development.
