This park is located in the border area of Bolívar in southeastern Venezuela near Guyana and Brazil, and it has a core protection area of 30,000 km2. Approximately 65% of the park is composed of tabular platform mountains. Therefore, it has become a unique bio-geophysical entity with important geological scientific value. Cliffs and waterfalls, including the world’s highest waterfall, Angel Falls (1,000 m), constitute the park’s natural beauty.
