Synonym: Seaside
A seashore refers to the area between the low tide mark and the highest level that the largest waves can reach. It includes the foreshore and the backshore. It generally indicates the portion of the coast near the sea. The seashore is home to many marine organisms; for example, crabs are common in this area. Waves scour the coastline into various shapes.
