A sea of clouds is an important mountain landscape composed of a unique cloud layer formed under suitable humidity and wind speed conditions. The cloud layer is lower than the peak height, so it looks like a wavy sea with a rolling surface when viewed from the peak. It gets the name sea of clouds from this scenery. Famous locations in China include Huangshan Mountain and Emei Mountain.
