Religious tourism is a type of tourism that hinges on religious culture and the related natural and cultural resources to attract religious followers and general tourists to activities such as worshiping, studying, sightseeing, and cultural exchanges. The religious tourism resources in China mainly include Buddhist tourism resources, such as famous mountains, temples, caves, and pagodas. Taoist tourism resources include famous mountains, palaces and temples, cave carvings and remains. Islamic tourism resources include mosques and famous monuments, and Christian tourism resources include famous churches and relics.
