This park is located in Qianxi County in eastern Hebei Province, and it covers an area of 4.50 km2. It became a national mining park in 2010. The Jinchangyu ultra-large gold deposit is the largest such deposit on the eastern margin of the North China Platform and is known as the ‘Gold Field’ because of its long gold mining history. Its mining heritage mainly includes representative rock minerals, prospecting features, metallogenic models, mining remains, mineral processing and metallurgical technology and equipment, mine waste dumps, tailings impoundment areas and environmental engineering structures. The mining geological heritage mainly includes typical gold deposit rocks, minerals, geologic profiles and representative mining belts. The mining activity heritage mainly includes mining roads, smelting and refining heritage.
