Provincial-Level Scenic Area

A provincial-level scenic area is an area whose natural and cultural landscapes reflect important natural processes or major historical and cultural developments. It is a regional representative that is in its natural state or has maintained its original appearance. Before a provincial-level scenic area is approved and announced by the people’s government of the province, autonomous region and municipality directly under the central government, the people’s government at the county level shall submit an application, which will be discussed and reviewed by the Department of Construction under the people’s government of the province or autonomous region or by the Department of Scenic Areas under the people’s government of the municipality directly under the central government.
