Aeolian Landform

Aeolian landforms form by wind erosion, transport and accumulation and can be classified as wind erosion landforms, caves, grooves, depressions, mushrooms, sand dunes and longitudinal sand ridges. Aeolian landforms are mainly located in arid and semi-arid areas but can also form in windy coastal areas (Fig. 6).
