A national park is a special natural park set up by a nation to protect natural landscapes and the ecological environment while providing the public recreation, research and earth science education. In addition to protecting the ecological environment, national parks provide enjoyment for visitors and are ideal sites for scientific research. Yellowstone National Park in the USA was established in 1872 and was the first national park in the world.
