Mount Fengshan Karst National Geopark, Guangxi

Mount Fengshan Karst National Geopark is located in Fengshan County, northwest of Hechi City, in the Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region. It became a national geopark in 2005. The geopark is located along the southeastern border of the Yunnan-Guizhou Plateau. The highest elevation is 1,318 m, and the elevations generally range from 500 to 1,000 m. The elevation in the geopark varies from 300 to 500 m. A total of 40% of the geopark is covered by Palaeozoic carbonate rocks, which contain giant cave tunnels, cave halls, underground rivers and springs. The geopark has a beautiful and high-quality environment and has been called ‘the hometown of longevity’.
