Loess Bridge and Arch Landscape

This is a loess erosion landscape. When the area between two loess collapse holes is cut through by subterranean water, a bridge-like or arch-like landform is created. The landform is called a loess bridge when water flows beneath it, and it is called a loess arch when there is no water below (Fig. 28).
