Liuyang Mount Dawei Geopark, Hunan
This geopark is located in northeastern Liuyang (a county-level city) in Changsha, Hunan Province. The geopark covers an area of 114 km2, and most of the geological features are concentrated in an area of 85 km2. It became a national geopark in 2011. Quaternary glacial relics are the major components of the geopark. Other attractions include granitic landforms, faulted landforms, waterfalls and springs at the source of the Liuyang River. It is a comprehensive geopark that integrates attractive natural landscapes and cultural landscapes. It also serves multiple functions, such as scientific research, science popularisation, geotourism and adventure.
