This geopark is located in Langao City, Shaanxi Province, and it has an area of 72 km2. It became a national geopark in 2009. Geologically, it is dominated by basic volcanic brecciated lava from a series of ultrabasic-basic-neutral volcanic complexes extending NWW for approximately 50 km that are an average of approximately 2 km wide. The volcanic facies in Nangongshan Geopark can be divided into explosive volcanic breccia lava, volcanic agglomerate lava, volcanic lava and tuffaceous facies, most of which originated from an alkaline-basic volcanic complex. The volcanic activity included two typical phases, and the later eruption was the main phase. The landforms include volcanic peaks, clusters, columns and cliffs.
