Karst Hanging Valley Landscape

This is a dry U-shaped valley hanging on the main valley slope in a karst area. It forms as a result of neotectonic uplift. The term hanging valley originates from glacial landforms, but it has been applied to river valley landforms to signify a tributary valley that hangs over the main valley slope.
