The Jixianian Period is the second geologic period of the Mesoproterozoic Era in China. It extended for 400 million years, from 1.4 billion to 1 billion years ago. The Jixianian System includes the rocks that formed during the Jixianian Period. The standard section of the system is located in Jixian County, Tianjin.
