Acoustic environment pollution refers to noise that causes discomfort and health damage to people in the environment, including traffic and industrial noise. Protection measures include classification of sound levels, delineation of functional areas and implementation of environmental noise control and management. Geoparks require strict controls on traffic and other human-generated noises.
