Orogenic belts of different periods also formed during the early and late Palaeozoic. The Mongolian-Okhotsk Orogenic Belt is located to the north, and the Sino-Korean Platform is located to the south, and there was a Palaeozoic ocean that divided the Siberian and Sino-Korean palaeocontinents prior to the orogeny.
