Definition

Rebuilding higher education in post-conflict settings refers to a period when the warring parties in a conflict zone formally end fighting and the society can begin the long process of recovery and rebuilding of systems, institutions, and relations that were damaged or destroyed in the conflict. When it comes to higher education, the focus is on rebuilding and reforming higher education systems and institutions damaged and/or destroyed in the fighting.
