The Hula Wetland (Israel)

Abstract

This article provides a brief introduction to the Hula wetland: a regionally significant wetland complex in the Middle East. The article describes the physical setting of the wetland and how it has been shaped by human intervention over long time-periods. The present biodiversity is briefly introduced along with a discussion of possible future threats.
