The species of this primitive (monozoic) tapeworm does not possess a scolex or another adhesion system. It contains, however, many sets of reproductive organs but does not form typical proglottids. It belongs to the family of Pseudophyllidae like Triaenophorus,  Ligula, or  Eubothrium.
