Zusammenfassung

Das Kapitel betrachtet aus entwicklungspsychologischer Perspektive die Akkulturation von jugendlichen Migrant*innen. Typische Entwicklungsaufgaben im Jugendalter umfassen die zunehmende Autonomie von Eltern und Familie, den verstärkten Aufbau von Beziehungen zu Gleichaltrigen, die Entwicklung von Wert- und Moralvorstellungen als Leitfäden für Verhalten sowie die Abgrenzung eigener Identität. Jugendliche Migrant*innen stehen dabei nicht nur vor solchen alterstypischen Entwicklungsaufgaben, sondern auch vor migrationsspezifischen Herausforderungen. Das Kapitel gibt zunächst einen Überblick über die aktuelle Forschungsliteratur zu Entwicklungs- und Akkulturationsprozessen im Jugendalter und deren Zusammenspiel. Darauf aufbauend werden Forschungsergebnisse zur Anpassung jugendlicher Migrant*innen in Bezug auf die Entwicklung von Autonomie, Beziehungen zu Gleichaltrigen, delinquente Einstellungen sowie nationaler und ethnischer Identität zusammengefasst. Exemplarisch stehen dabei Aussiedler*innen und türkische Migrant*innen in Deutschland im Fokus der Betrachtung.
