Concentration Polarization Coefficient (CPC)

Concentration polarization coefficient (indicated in the literature as PC or CPC). The concentration polarization coefficient is a measure of the concentration polarization extent in a membrane-aided separation system. In general, the concentration polarization coefficient indicates the degree of permeation driving force lost with respect to the total driving force between the bulks of the fluid phase of feed and permeation side (Fig. 1).
