an old misleading term for green pyroxene porphyry containing light green feldspar regardless of composition. Green color is caused by epidote and chlorite. Found in Laconia, Greece. Erroneously it was later named as porfido serpentino. Used as ornamental stone. Also called porfido verde antico.
