Mission

OncoAge is a large consortium of scientific and physicians with a major interest on the overlap between cancer and aging. This consortium brings together the multidisciplinary expertise of public hospital departments and academic research centers to accelerate the transfer of scientific knowledge rapidly acquired in the field of cancer biology and aging into innovative clinical practice. The global aim of the Hospital-University Federation (HUF) program in France is to develop excellence within the university hospitals by targeting medical topics optimizing care, research, and education in these subject areas (https://www.aviesan.fr). In this regard, the mission of the HUF OncoAge is to improve the care of older patients with cancer, to set up research projects, and to develop strong educational programs. At this end, these efforts should not only deepen our understanding of the mechanisms underlying cancer and aging, but also improve the daily well-being of these older...
