Definition

Incentives and Grants for Sustainable Development are related with policies, agreements and subsidies that stimulate and support the incorporation of well-designed environmental management practices and corporate social responsibility, linking business and employee performance with good environmental strategies. In this perspective, education, requalification, improvement, research and development are identified as key priorities.

Introduction

Currently, the major challenges for sustainability, according to some authors (Ayik et al. 2017; Seto and Satterthwaite 2010), are global environmental changes, inadequate processes of industrial growth, and the intense expansion of urbanization.

According to Philippi et al. (2014), the greater the scale of population concentration and agglomeration, the greater the adaptations and transformations of natural environment, which will increasingly require resources, producing a greater amount of waste, making it difficult to recompose...
