Description

The LNNB, developed by Golden and his colleagues (Golden et al. 1991), was designed to more accurately discriminate patients with neurological impairments from normal individuals. It has a further goal of allowing for the lateralization and localization of neurological impairment. The LNNB consists of two forms: Form I contains 11 scales and Form II contains 12 scales. The two scales are supposed to serve as parallel forms with Form II containing a measure that assesses delayed recall of some of the previously administered short-term memory items. Each item is scored from 0 (no impairment) to 2 (severe impairment). The scales are now relabeled C1–C12, replacing the scale names (e.g., Motor Functions or Rhythm), due to the fact that the scales are multidetermined, which makes the labels less meaningful.
