Pros and Contras of Outpatient Treatments for Hemorrhoids

In this chapter, we consider the literature regarding different modalities of lifestyle modifications, oral medications, and topical applications in the treatment of early-stage hemorrhoids. We also examine the advantages and disadvantages of available outpatient office procedures, including rubber band ligation, injection sclerotherapy, electrotherapy, infrared coagulation, and other therapies.
