Introduction
Internationalization has become an unavoidable task and important strategy to cope with challenges of globalization to higher education. With the student population in higher education becoming increasingly internationalized and diversified, the acculturation and adaptation challenges and problems of these non-local students in local culture, society, and institutions have become a critical issue which needs attention of policy makers and senior administrators of higher education institutions. How to form better policies and administrative procedures to facilitate non-local students’ better acculturation and sociocultural, psychological, and academic adaptation has become a vital task of senior management of higher education institutions.
