Definition
Features of Italian public administration refer to high degrees of specialization (both horizontal and vertical), showing that the tasks performed by the participants may be collocated perfectly within the bureaucratic domain. According to the literature, these kinds of tasks are usually associated with a low motivation degree due to the high specialization and repetition of the activities carried out by employees. Instead, here the results from the analysis show a high degree of motivation associated with high degrees of horizontal and vertical specialization.
