Definition

E-governance is a process which helps to provide government service to the citizen as earlier as possible through technology by dint of which people won’t have to go to government office. And by using this system government activities will speed up dramatically.

Introduction

To keep pace with globalized world, Bangladesh government took an initiative of digitalization in 2001 so that government service can reach at the citizen’s doors and decentralization of government for ensuring good governance. Good governance has some important criteria to help government to become accountable and dedicated to the citizen’s welfare. Those criteria are accountability, transparency in all sectors, security sector reform, people’s participation in decision-making, improve service delivery, decentralization, cavil and political right, efficiency and effectiveness of governmental activities, role of law, sound democracy,...
