McGrath, Robert E.
Early Life and Educational Background
McGrath was born on August 31, 1956 in Woodside, New York. He earned his B.A. in Psychology from Hartwick College in Oneonta, New York, in 1978, and his M.A. in Psychology from Auburn University in Auburn, Alabama, in 1981. He earned his Ph.D. in clinical psychology from Auburn University in 1984 under the direction of Glenn King.
Professional Career
McGrath has taught in the School of Psychology at Fairleigh Dickinson University since 1984. He is also a Senior Scientist with the VIA Institute on Character in Cincinnati, Ohio. He has authored more than 200 publications and presentations during his career, with articles appearing in outlets such as the Journal of Personality Assessment, European Journal of Psychological Assessment, Psychological Assessment, and Assessment.
