Perch Beaked (Sebastes mentella) – sea fish, Scorpionfish (Scorpaenidae) family. The body color is dark red. It has a length of up to 72 cm, usually 35–45 cm. It is found in the southwestern part of the Barents Sea. It is more common at depths of 300–400 m. It forms the largest concentrations at about 2 °C. It spawns its larvae in April–June. P.B. feeds on fish and invertebrates. It is a valuable commercial fish.
