Abstract

Tiberius Russiliano was a philosopher of the Italian Renaissance. A restless spirit with a profound knowledge of Aristotle and his commentators, he sought to establish himself in the academic sphere but, due to his subversive and even heretical theories, was forced to flee to Sicily. His extant works are Apologeticus adversus cucullatos (1519 or 1520) and Universalia porphyriana (1526).
