\hek-sa-gә-nәl\ adj (1571) (1) Of a closed plane figure, having six sides. (2) Having the properties of a regular hexagon, i.e., all six sides and all six angles equal. (3) One of the six crystal systems, in which there are four principal axes, three in one plane at 120° to each other, the fourth perpendicular to the others.
