n (1) A copolymer with chains composed of shorter homopolymeric chains that are linked together. These “blocks” can alternate regularly or randomly. Such copolymers usually have some higher properties than either of the homopolymers or their physical blends. They have distinct blocks of polymer segments such as,

sequencing of A and B monomers. When blocks are of different monomer species, the term block copolymer is used. (2) An essentially linear copolymer in which there are repeated segments of different chemical structure. (Odian GC, (2004) Principles of polymerization, Wiley, New York).
