Beit Trust-University of Leeds Scholarships
Subjects: A subject of the individual’s choice appropriate to the needs of the beneficial area.
Purpose: To provide postgraduate scholarships to international students of high calibre, who demonstrate both academic excellence and the potential to become leaders, decision makers and opinion formers in their own country.
Eligibility: Open to candidates from Malawi, Zambia and Zimbabwe who have obtained at least a UK Upper Second Class Honours Degree or equivalent.

China Scholarship Council - University of Leeds Scholarships
Subjects: All subjects.
Purpose: To provide postgraduate scholarships for international research students of high calibre.
Eligibility: Open to citizens and permanent residents of China at the time of application. Applicants must normally either be studying or working at a Chinese University, although there a limited number of scholarship places open to Chinese students currently in their last year of postgraduate study overseas (applicants should submit the required documents via the Education Office of the Chinese Embassy in the UK – further details are provided on www.csc.edu.cn). Applicants must satisfy the selection criteria set out by the China Scholarship Council (CSC) by completing the CSC Application Form and CSC Employer Reference Form which can be found at www.csc.edu.cn (the application period for the CSC maintenance award is in late March/early April), ensuring that the correct Scholarship has been selected, as there are several different schemes; Applicants must normally hold a First Degree at undergraduate level equivalent to at least a UK First Class Honours degree and should be considered to be the ‘best of the best’ (e.g., successful applicants are likely to be in the top 5 per cent of their MSc/MA and BSC/BA cohorts and already in receipt of prizes at national or international level).

Commonwealth Shared Scholarship Scheme
Subjects: Subjects related to the economic, social and technological development of the student’s home country.
Purpose: To provide scholarships to students of high academic calibre from developing Commonwealth countries.
Eligibility: Applicants must already have obtained a United Kingdom Upper Second Class (Honours) Degree or equivalent. Candidates must be nationals of, or permanently resident in, a developing Commonwealth country. Candidates whose first language is not English must have already met the University’s English language requirement at the time of application.

Etam-Milchior MSc Scholarship
