Introduction

The Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD) is an International Organization established in 1960 as the successor of the Organisation for European Economic Co-operation. It includes 30 member countries (Australia, Austria, Belgium, Canada, Czech Republic, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Iceland, Ireland, Italy, Japan, Korea, Luxembourg, Mexico, the Netherlands, New Zealand, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Slovak Republic, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, Turkey, United Kingdom, United States).

Brief History

OECD was formally established on 14.12.1960, when the founding Conventionwas signed by 20 countries. It continues under the same legal personality the work of the Organisation for European Economic Co-operation (OEEC).
