Introduction/Brief History
Community Chest of Korea (CCK) was established in 1998 by legislation promoted by many welfare movement organizations. CCK has strengthened the role of civil society in the welfare system for the last 10 years. It has grown to become Korea’s largest community-impact charity. Now it is a national network of 16 locally governed organizations that work to create lasting positive change in the community and people’s lives. CCK seeks to engage individuals, businesses, and local organizations to cultivate a culture of sharing in the community. It is a member of United Way International, a global network of nonprofit fund-raising organizations with 46 national members.
Mission/Objectives
