Ezrin belongs to the family of ezrin-radixin-moiesin (ERM) membrane proteins that mediates attachment of membrane proteins, such as CD44 to the cortical cytoskeleton. It is involved in Rho [ RHO family proteins] and Rac (small  G proteins) signaling pathways.
