A feature of graded Lie algebras , consisting of a Grassmann c-number piece of a commutator, which anticommutes with all fermionic generators of the algebra and commutes with all bosonic generators. Such centers occur, e.g., in the superconformal algebra on the supertorus [1], or the supersymmetric extension of the area-preserving diffeomorphism algebra [2], or the supersymmetrization of the Moyal algebra [3].
