Campodeiform Larva

A term used to describe larvae that are elongate and flattened, with well-developed thoracic legs and antennae, and a prognathous head. Such larvae are usually active and predacious. It is named for Campodea, a dipluran. This body form is found in the orders Ephmeroptera, Odonata, Plecoptera, and Neuroptera.
