Environmental value refers to the background of geological heritage as a natural environment, its significance to the survival and development of mankind, and its interaction with the ecosystem and biodiversity. The environmental value of geological heritage can be divided into usable and non-usable values. A usable value is the direct or indirect usage of environmental resources that can generate benefits to people. A non-usable value is the importance of its existence for current and future sustainable benefits to the environment and other living things. An environmental assessment is required for building tourist resorts (e.g., ski areas, summer retreats, seaside resorts, and spa holiday flats) within tourist and resort areas.
