This is a four-level karst waterfall that crosses the China-Vietnam border on the Guichun River in Taocheng Town, Daxin County, Guangxi Province. The rock is mainly Middle Devonian dolomitic limestone, and the waterfall includes four drops with a total fall height of 49 m. There are no accurate data on the fall width because a long stretch of the cliff lies inside the Vietnamese border. The fourth terrace inside China has a surface width (the continuous length of the waterfall surface) of 140 m. The total length is 250 m if the widths of the other three levels are aggregated. The Banyue Waterfall is located across the Vietnamese border, 180 m southeast of the Detian Waterfall. This fall is narrower (dozens of metres) and is just more than 10 m high. It is composed of grade 1 falling water and is located on the same cliff surface as the Detian Waterfall (Fig. 10).
