Zhaomian Chen

Zhaomian Chen (1938–) is a professor grade senior engineer. In 1965, he graduated from the Beijing Institute of Geology (now known as China University of Geosciences). He primarily engages in mineral surveys, regional geological mapping and management and has been the deputy chief editor and editorial director of the Regional Geology Annals of China. In 1991, he joined the China Tourism Earth Science Research Institute and served as deputy secretary-general and secretary-general. He has engaged in the research and evaluation of geological tourism resources for many years and has published approximately 20 papers. He has presided over the applications and evaluation of numerous national geoparks and wrote and edited ‘A Grand Tourism Earth Science Dictionary’.
