Zusammenfassung
In der Öffentlichkeit wird das Thema der Unternehmensverantwortung vor allem unter dem Stichwort Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) diskutiert. Auch die wissenschaftliche CSR-Debatte bewegt sich hauptsächlich im sozialwissenschaftlichen Feld der deskriptiven Ethik. Dasselbe gilt für verwandte Begriffe wie Corporate Citizenship, Corporate Social Performance und Stakeholder-Theorie. In diesem Artikel werden diese Modelle der Unternehmensverantwortung dargestellt und kritisiert, sowie explizit auf ihren normativen Gehalt hin untersucht. Dabei zeigt sich, dass Unternehmensverantwortung als Begriff der angewandten Ethik philosophische und sozialwissenschaftliche Ansätze bzw. Erkenntnisse zusammenführt. Vor diesem Hintergrund werden dann mit der ökonomischen Ethik, der integrativen Wirtschaftsethik und der Governanceethik drei dominante wirtschaftsethische Modelle als mögliche normative Hintergrundtheorien für die Unternehmensethik diskutiert. Dabei kommen auch die Grenzen der Unternehmensverantwortung zur Sprache. Abschließend wird noch diskutiert, wer eigentlich die Akteure der Unternehmensverantwortung sind, wobei die Frage im Vordergrund steht, ob nur individuelle Menschen oder auch die Unternehmen selbst als verantwortungsfähige Akteure verstanden werden können.
