Herpesvirus-Infektionen bei Kindern und Jugendlichen

Zusammenfassung

Alle Viren der Herpesvirus-Gruppe persistieren im Wirtsorganismus nach Erstinfektion lebenslang. Bei Immunsuppression verlaufen Infektionen mit Herpesviren besonders schwer. Infektionen mit Herpes-simplex-Virus Typ 1 und 2 (HSV-1 und -2) führen u. a. zu schweren neonatalen Infektionen und Herpesenzephalitis. Bei Infektionen mit dem Varicella-Zoster-Virus (VZV) sind u. a. neonatale VZV-Infektionen, Enzephalitis, ZNS-Vaskulitis und Herpes zoster gefürchtet. Das Epstein-Barr-Virus (EBV) ist der Erreger der infektiösen Mononukleose. Bei Immunsuppression können lebensbedrohliche lymphoproliferative Krankheitsbilder auftreten. Beim Zytomegalievirus (CMV) ist die konnatale Zytomegalie gefürchtet. Die humanen Herpesviren (HHV) 6 und 7 verursachen das Dreitagefieber und das HHV8 ist mit dem Kaposi-Sarkom assoziiert. Seit längerem existiert eine wirksame Impfung gegen VZV. Gegen HSV und VZV sind Aciclovir und Valaciclovir wirksam, gegen CMV Ganciclovir und Valganciclovir.
